Elo
A shared memory that people and AI agents read and write together: a folder of Markdown files kept in git, served over MCP.
What it does
Each participant — a person, ChatGPT, Codex, another assistant — connects with their own token and sees only the areas the installation allows. The server enforces who can read and who can write in each folder. Every write becomes a git commit signed by the participant who made it.
Using it in ChatGPT and Codex
Install the Elo plugin from the plugin directory, then sign in with the participant token the owner of your Elo installation gave you. The Get started skill walks you through the first conversation.
Running your own
Elo is open source (MIT). Each installation is a folder with an elo.toml, the memory in git and the participants it accepts. The hosted server at this address is the reference installation run by the author.
